In 2015 I was arrested for felony fraud related to a charity I helped create. I was accused of not giving the family for which the charity was created all the funds received. This was something I was guilty or however, was also fueled by a terrible addiction to opiates and alcohol. Mr. Small worked with the courts to allow me the time to receive the best possible rehab and drug treatment in Florida prior to returning to Pennsylvania for my court dates.

I am a single mother to a small child and while in treatment was separated from my son for over 5 months. It was extremely important to my family, myself and the well-being of my son that As part of my sentence for the crime I committed I not be separated from my son – jail time.

Mr. Small is very well educated in the drug epidemic that is consuming our nation and made sure I saw the professionals necessary (doctors) to assist in relating the factors in this case to the judge.

Through his many years of experience, education, continuing education, compassion and sheer brilliance in and out of the court room, I was sentenced to probation and time served for my stay in rehab. Mr. Small was even able to take this a step further by portraying to the judge in my case the importance of allowing me to do my probation in Florida, where I have my support system.
